Installation
This installation stages a stem cell multiplying. In the Parc de la Conque, rich in biodiversity and a listed LPO bird refuge, the work can become a shelter for birds, with a multitude of nests generated by this matrix. The viewer is invited to enter the mother cell to feel the life force that drives us and our regenerative capacity, this bond with the living within us and around us. The capacity for regeneration is very unevenly shared among species; plants are the ones endowed with the most extraordinary abilities. Made of wild clematis, the work makes visible the process of cellular duplication and multiplication; mathematical organisation intertwines with the organic, the vines link up with the surrounding trees. It questions once more our bonds with the living and the “Nature / Culture” divide, and invites us to renew our way of being in the world.
